Tourist Taxi vs City Taxi Permit
A city contract-carriage permit covers local hire within the state. A tourist taxi — carrying an All-India Tourist Permit — can legally run inter-state duty: airport transfers across borders, multi-state tours, corporate outstation work. Tourist taxis for sale command more because the AITP unlocks higher-value work; verify the authorisation is current and the annual taxes are paid.

Expect to pay ₹20,000–60,000 over an equivalent permit-less vehicle, depending on the permit type and remaining validity — an AITP with years left is worth more than a city permit near renewal.
